Step 1:
Drink pure water every day. Everyone needs at least 2 litres of water every day. Use the purest water you can and if you have municipal water consider buying a good quality water filter.
Remember 72% percent of your body’s weight is water and you need to keep that balance in order to be healthy. It is important to note that the amount of water you need to drink per day depends on various factors such as your weight, sex, age and physical activity level.
A general guideline is to drink 30 to 40 ml of water for every kg of body weight.
Water helps sweep toxins from your body. Remember that all forms of disease are due to the same cause i.e. the accumulation of waste material in the body as a result of bad eating and living habits;
Step 2:
Our bodies need minerals and virtually none of us get the required amount of minerals in our daily diet. The minerals are the transport system for vitamins and amino acids into our cells.
Ionic minerals are the only ones that are completely available for our bodies to use because they are water-soluble, and they naturally carry an electric charge that allows them to be carried through the cell membranes. Without adequate minerals and without minerals in balance, the nutrients can’t get into our cells and our bodies simply wont function as they should. The best source for ionic minerals is in unrefined sea salt and rock salt.
Drink a 500 ml glass of water first thing in the morning when you awake, fill the glass with a quarter teaspoon of unrefined sea salt or rock salt and squeeze fresh lemon juice into the glass. Water helps sweep toxins from your body. Remember that all forms of disease are due to the same cause i.e. the accumulation of waste material in the body as a result of bad eating and living habits.
Step 3:
The quality of fats that we take in is extremely important for a healthy digestive system. Fats are
the components that maintain the bodies cell membranes and the cell membranes again protect
the body against attacks from free radicals. The fats and healthy membranes protect the brain
and effect a healthy memory and intellect. A low-fat diet can cause strokes and associate problems. Healthy fats need to be taken in on a daily basis. The healthiest fats are mono – unsaturated fatty acids, such as Olive Oil and Coconut Oil. Coconut Oil is a medium chain fatty acid oil which goes directly to the liver that is used for energy. Avocados and nuts are also rich in mono – unsaturated oils.
Avoid all types of hydrogenation oils of which consist of trans – fatty acids due to the hydrogenation process ( margarine, cooking oils, braaivleis fats, chips and so on). These types of fats are the cause of heart attacks and related conditions. Essential fatty acids must also be taken in on a daily basis to ensure that the bodies digestive system operates optimal. Take note that essential fatty acids cannot be manufactured inside our bodies and do we therefore have to obtain these fatty acids from an external source.
Omega 3 and Omega 6 are the most important fatty acids to be obtained by our bodies. Linseed is an
excellent vegetable source of Omega 3. Linseed has various health benefits and is it recommended to take in at least one to two grounded tablespoons daily. Coldwater fish is also a good source for Omega 3 and must be eaten on a regular basis.
Step 4:
NB – IT’S NOT IN THE GENES IT IS IN THE GREENS:
Unrefined carbohydrates like bread, pasta ,rice, and potatoes(unpeeled)must be consumed in
small portions and not in isolation in order to ensure that the blood sugar rise gradually. The same applies to animal proteins, and it is important to consume moderate portions with every meal. Ensure that all proteins are free from hormones and growth stimulants. Vegetable proteins are very healthy and consist of beans, lentils, seeds, and nuts. These vegetable proteins provide for the necessary amino acids assisting DNA formation and protein molecules in the body. Free range eggs are a good form of protein, and the Vitamin B component in eggs balances cholesterol levels in the body.
Vegetables, fruit, and salads should make up the greater portion of a meal. Ensure variety and seasonality. It is important to consume raw and not overcooked vegetables. Take note that carrots, green leafy vegetables (spinach, rocket, kale, lettuce, fresh and or dried herbs, etc) ,sweet potatoes, sweet peppers, pumpkin, beetroot, and tomatoes are rich in antioxidants and should be consumed regularly. Cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, onions, garlic, brussels sprouts, and chilies are vegetables that assist with circulation and parasite control and need to be consumed on a daily basis.
Fruit are high in fibre and assist with sweeping toxins from the intestines, preventing gut associated illnesses. Fruit also contains antioxidants such as bioflavonoids, which protect the body against ongoing attacks of free radicals. Consume at least 3 portions of fruit daily. Fruit keeps the bodies alkaline in balance.
Step 5:
Avoid processed foodstuffs, refined foods, and sugar. Start your day with a bowl of tiger oats filled with nuts and fruit and or a glass of milk kefir filled with a quarter spoon of cayenne pepper and turmeric, that enhances circulation.
A healthy body needs good and effective circulation – healthy food effects good circulation and moderate exercise like 5 – 8 km walks daily, causes effective circulation. Good and effective circulation assists the body:
- to rid the accumulation of waste material from the body;
- to heal the body;
- to restore itself to health.
Our bodies need sufficient natural (without the assistance of chemicals) rest of at least 8 hours a day. NB – rest is when you are lying down.
Step 6:
DEFEAT DENIAL :
The fact that you are overweight and or underweight, have spastic colon, heartburn, hormonal disfunction, arthritis/pain, emotional disturbances, tired, lack of energy, just to name a few, is
indicative that your body is unhealthy! You don’t have any grounds for justification – your digestive system has accumulated to much toxins due to your bad eating habits and life style!!
Your body is thus overtaxed with toxins and urgently needs a reset!
Defeat your denial and take the step !
Step 7:
Now that you have taken the sixth step it is of utmost importance to consult our good selves
